Antique Katana sword in Ornate Mounting NBTHK certificated
Swordsmith school: SHIKKAKE

A complete set of antique Katana long sword and ornate mountings. Very beautiful antique real steel blade finished with Choji (flower-shaped) tempered line patterns was handcrafted by smith school SHIKKAKE in Nambokucho period in 1300's. Registered as Tokubetsu Kicho paper "Important historical Sword" by NBTHK (Japan Sword Preservation Society). There is no inscription on tang as the most items from this era don't have inscriptions, but NBTHK certified this item as authentic blade by SHIKKAKE smith. The blade comes in a complete ornate mountings including the beautiful openwork designed Tsuba guard. Shirasaya wooden holder also comes with. A copy of the authority translated to English by the vendor comes with.
