Very beautiful antique real sword handcrafted by swordsmith Fujiwara Sukenobu in early Edo period 1600's. The inscription of the sword smith name and its location on the both sides of tang. The signature of swordsmith is Yokoyama Kouzuke-Daijou (authorized by Imperial court), FUJIWARA SUKENOBU located in Sesshu, current Osaka/Hyōgo prefecture. The blade comes with a Certificate Tokubetu Hozon (Special preserved), of NBTHK (Society for the Preservation of Japanese Art Swords). Comes in a well finished ornate mountings including very stunning openworked Tsuba guard featuring scenes from Japanese old tale.
